Ice Dam Prevention
Owning a home in an area like Park City, Deer Valley, or elsewhere in the high country is unique in a few ways. The greatest stand out is our snow!!! Every year Utahs Wasatch mountains receive between 200" to 700" of the greatest snow on earth. That much snow does make for a great time on the slopes, but it tends to be hard on our buildings, especially the roof.
The roof of your home or business is possibly the most important part of all. It is exposed to the full sun all summer long, it can trap dirt and leaves along walls and in valleys in the fall, it must hold many tons of snow and ice in the winter and shed LOTS AND LOTS of water in the spring. Most roofs are taken for granted, but without a good roof your building is prone to leaks and water infiltration that can damage ceilings, walls, carpet and personal belongings.
An important component of many of the modern roofs in cold, snowy areas is a roof eave mounted ice melting system. Ice melters come in two forms. Zig-zag heat cables and heated, covered panels.
We have been installing, repairing and maintaining all sizes and types of ice melting systems such as Bylin, Thermal Technologies, Raychem, Technitrace, and Fast Track/Hot Line for ten years. We have the best equiped and most experienced heat tape and eave panel experts in the state and we would love to work on your roof.
